Benny Berry is like a breath of fresh air in country music. Possessed of a stone country voice, why he is not a major star is a mystery as his talent is greater than many currently enjoying top commercial success in Nashville. Perhaps the one thing his albums have lacked in the past has been standout original material. Well, there is certainly no lack of that here as the title track is a gem, with "Heart Don't Start Stoppin' On Me Now" a close second. Benny loves the Lord and here he revives that old classic "In The Garden" and the Merle Haggard song of 20 years ago "Jesus Takes A Hold" which sounds bang up to date. Magnificent! I've hardly stopped playing it since it landed on my CD player.
