The somewhat wordy title of the new album by Brightline, a school ministry pop group run by Manchester's Message Trust, succeeds in setting out the band's evangelistic stall for a collection of high quality tracks that tell of the difference Jesus can make to a life. An aptly spooky reading of the Ephesian 5:14 "rise from the dead" verse and a punchy bassline heralds in the inventive "Zombie" to suggest that a life without Christ is like a walking death before the upbeat "Crazy" continues in the same vein on an album packed to the gunnels with the kind of radio friendly pop that the likes of Maroon 5 have been pioneering in the mainstream for the last decade. Elsewhere, the more considered "Pull Me Through" candidly tells of childhood struggles and reliance on God whilst the dance-tinged "Treat Me Right" carries the valuable message that we should look at ourselves through God's eyes and not from the sometimes critical and misinformed viewpoint of others. A Billy Graham soundbite acts as an altar call on this accomplished release before proceedings draw to a close in celebratory fashion with "Walking On Waves" and "Electric Feeling".
