"Something wonderful began at Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, on Father's Day, June 18th 1995,..," and many have been the testimonies since. The songs selected are sung sensitively with Vineyard favourites "Let Your Glory Fall", "Draw Me Close", and "You Are Worthy Of My Praise" to the fore. Indeed four David Ruis songs find their way onto a nine-track album lasting 45 minutes. Curiously a pretty ordinary arrangement of Wesley's "0 For A Thousand Tongues" is included for some reason. Overall the recording is standard live worship with fairly clear production quality but I did not "experience the freshness of God's glory" as the producer Lindell Cooley had hoped (on the sleevenotes). Maybe I've been too spoilt by the variety of worship albums produced in the last decade. But if you went to Brownsville in 1995 this recording would serve as a reminder of your visit!
