Strange to think that, until today, I didn't know that songs like "The Christian Conga" and the "Holy Hokey" even existed. My ears had never resounded to such lyrics as "I'm enthusiastic, boing boing boing/ I think it's fantastic, yeah yeah yeah", or "I'm inright, outright, upright, downright happy through and through." This is all very jolly and enthusiastic (boing), a choir (sorry - crew) of children sing along with the Captain, and there's loads of Biblically-explicit lyrics so you know your kids are listening to positive, life-enhancing messages. And my four- and eight-year olds think it's great. But my 10-year-old thinks it's terrible and I have to say that if I was forced to listen to this too often, I'd microwave the CD. To sum up: slighty irritating, but small children might just love it.
