Celtic hymns...recorded in Nashville! Purists from every crofter's cottage will no doubt descend on me to lash this album but I found it a delight and way, way, way above those tacky 'roots praise' albums Christian bookshops have in their racks. Here you've got Irish flute, uilleann pipes, harp, bodhran and penny whistle mixed with some less Celtic instruments like violas and hammered dulcimers. The songs are beauties - "Pride Of The Parish", "St Patrick's Day" etc with a few hymn evergreens thrown in and the playing is of an exceedingly high standard. Recommended.
