Performed by the Chester Cathedral Choir, a 33-strong professional choir, this is an interesting CD because you don't expect to hear cathedral choirs, complete with organ, singing worship songs by Darlene Zschech and Graham Kendrick. It works! In fact, it works amazingly well - you get good diction with cathedral choirs, the musical arrangements are understated and it's a pleasant mix of old and new -"Be Thou My Vision" and "Just As I Am" rub shoulders with "Beautiful Lord, Wonderful Saviour" and "The Servant King". Certainly some different versions of well loved hymns and worship songs, but at barely 45 minutes is it really good value? Well, I enjoyed it anyway.
