Oh joy! - a cathedral choir that includes female voices! This is a nice collection of classic hymns and popular worship songs performed in the inimitable English cathedral music style by musicians who use their talents to worship God daily in Chester Cathedral. Best of all, this CD has two great favourites of mine - "I The Lord Of Sea And Sky" and "My Song Is Love Unknown". Surprisingly, there are also modern worship songs here (penned by Graham Kendrick, Noel Richards and Stuart Townend among others), and they are well arranged and performed with a mixture of solo voices and harmony, a capella and organ accompaniment. Fans of BBC TV's Songs Of Praise will love it - the words are printed, so you can even sing along.
