I didn't want to send this back to Cross Rhythms Towers. Think Shawn Colvin, Christine McVie, even think early Doobie Brothers circa 'Blackwater' if they'd been fronted by a woman, and you won't be far from the musical style here. Lyrically it's close to the passion and honesty of Matt Redman, with an emphasis on Bride of Christ/Song Of Songs themes (although personally I believe the latter book to be a love poem, not a spiritual analogy). It's produced by another underrated talent, Morgan Cryar, and if Nashville had the sense to woo someone who isn't a twentysomething, they should sign Christa and her band up forthwith. Songs like "Amazed" are impossible to dislodge from the brain, and "Bridegroom" is being played on stations across the States. This is a rare gem and everything a quality indie release should be.

I love Christa Shore and Beyond the veil. I recently met her at one of her music functions. Her and the band are clearly anointed by God. They don't just sing their songs, but they live them and her cd has given me a reason to keep singing. I've only seen her twice, but she has made a wonderful impact on my life! Thank you Christa Shore!
