Just looking at the name of the band and the title of this CD you'd think this was a comedy outfit wouldn't you? But you'd be wrong! Definitely! But these guys have a serious message and they're going for it. COJ gives you the funky rock of "Last Bus From Babylon" and its message of not conforming to the world and the opening charged "State Of Mind" with singer Jerry A at his histrionic best. "Real Life" thrashes away and confirms my suspicion that this is a band who feel better when they're throwing their songs at unbelievers. Raucous and loose, sweaty and uncompromising are words that spring to mind when describing this! The closing "Liar" which features the wonderfully named Cordelia Elk (surely some made up name!) on backing vocals brings this four-track EP to a crunchy end! Not the world's tightest band yet! But with hearts in the right place, COJ can only get better. And any chum of Jesus.
