This album is a mixture of pop, ambient acoustic roots and country, with the distinctive sound of Corrie's lute-backed single cutaway Ovation guitar well to the fore. There are 15 tracks on offer here and Corrie wrote or co-wrote all of them. The first track "Getting Ready" is a good one ("Search your heart, is your life true?/The coming King is near at hand - will you stand?"), as is "Changes", but the more upbeat songs don't work for me, as Corrie's voice is on the light side, and he tends to get a little swamped. He might do better concentrating on the folksy stuff, with less tracks and longer songs. Even so, the album as a whole is quite acceptable.
