Cross Purposes is the youth evangelism team of the Roman Catholic Sion Community. They specialise in schools work, incorporating music and drama in their presentations. The leaders Andy and Lyn Summers were professional musicians previously and all four members are experienced in areas of youth work. The tape included some relevant secular ditties, eg, "You've Got A Friend", "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" and "The Wind Beneath My Wings", songs which were written as straightforward love songs, but can be given a gospel interpretation, though they sit somewhat uneasily alongside standards like "From Heaven You Came". The music's moody rock, quite impressive though in some cases pale beside the original versions -that's the snag of course. Decent stuff on the whole and I'm sure they do a great job in schools and aren't bothered about stardom.

They came to my school when I was teaching and I was very impressed by them. I bought their CD and it helped me through many difficult times. Unfortunately I had a stroke which resulted in my son clearing out a lot of possessions so that I could downsize. I no longer have the cassette. If anyone knows where I could get a replacement I would be very grateful. Thank you.
