The opener "He'll See You Through"' is one of those mid tempo groove praise exhortations full of tricky jazz changes much loved by black choirs. It features two lead singers, one Timothy Wright who is well known and grittily soulful and one Yancy Edwards who is unknown and grittily soulful. Debra Trehan takes the lead on the slow ballad "Give Him A Chance" and wrings soul from it, but David Bratton and Auniter Hicks can do little with the dull "Great Jesus". In fact, it's the lack of quality material which lets this album down. Maybe Spirit Of Praise have "created a powerful impact with their music and anointed ministry in the Northeast's metropolitan Tri-State area" as the sleevenote tells us but all British Joe Punter will hear is a dull and patchy small choir doing the black church thing.

Glad we awl know Mr Bratton be gettin it on and popping! And he's one of teh few gospel artists 4 some reason I find to be rather transparent in their lifestyle. I like his work from back inda day so awl these albums yawl saying are hot, I gotta go check out. Stay blessed.
