Tennessee-based David has worked with many high profile names in the past including Peter Frampton, Kenny Loggins and Amy Grant. His solo style presents an intriguing mix of Americana/folk rock with a vocal delivery that would sit with Springsteen and a younger Bob Dylan. Having listened to the collection several times, it has become apparent that David delivers something quite unique, the capacity to draw the listener in where they are, while encouraging them to contemplate and be challenged. "Brothers Of Mine" is a great example as he paints a picture of those living on the streets, "Castles In The Sand" explores man building "only to be torn down" without the rock in place. "Forgive" is an encouragement to do exactly that, taking the high road when you have been mistreated. Probably the track that sticks in your head the most is "Talking To God" with its simple straight forward lyrics and heartfelt delivery. This is an outstanding album which delivers more on each listen.
