The Deepmine organisation is based in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, and what makes this a cut above run-of-the-mill worship projects is that if you buy the CD and the songbook, you really do have everything you need. Acetate masters, music scores and chords are in the book, whilst the CD has vocal tracks, backing tracks, Powerpoint images and JPEGs and lots more. As a resource, it’s excellent; as a performance recording, it’s merely average, the singing and playing are fairly basic and I’d certainly expect a competent worship band to make a lot more of these songs (which is the whole idea, after all). Nevertheless, there are precious few resources like this available in the market place, so this must be worthy of the attention of worship leaders everywhere.
