This is a surprisingly pleasant blend of rock-inspired pop tunes alongside softer ballads from the Stateside singer, Desiree Pesce. This 10-track album finely displays the singer/songwriter's vocal talent along with her ability to pen both truth-filled and personal words of praise, thanks and adoration. The headline track "We Praise You" was a personal favourite as the most upbeat track featured, but the gentler "God Of Life" is equally good, as is the mellow "Shades Of Gray". This is one of those albums that at first appears to be nothing special but really does grow on you the more you play it; there is a warm depth and appealing tone to Desiree's voice and a lot of meaning in her lyrics and both draw in the listener. This makes especially great music to listen to while driving along a beautiful Northern Ireland coastline on a breezy autumn afternoon.

I really enjoyed listening to her soulful vocals. I would recommend this album to those who are tired of the same ole thing.

I just got this Cd in the mail as a recommedation and I have to say, it is greatPraise the Lord, it is so nice to hear an christian artist sing not just to those unbelievers but also to the body of Christ. It is an interesteing mix of musical styles as well as a good solid vocal by Miss Desiree. I will look for her second CD soon.

This artist is truely gifted. It's a refreshing surprise to hear a vocal talent that is distinctive and yet powerful. I love how Desiree doesn't sound like your average singer. She has a soulful yet melodic tone to her voice. I am an singer songwriter myself and feel this CD is a definate must have.

I strongly disagree with your opinion of this album. I think your first impression that it was nothing special or out of the ordinary was correct. I found it hard to get through all of the songs. As a musician, I was able to hear the many times that Desiree wondered off key. When making a CD that people want to listen to, you must first make sure that the artist doing the vocals has the ability to perform the pieces correctly. People who know music can catch the many flaws in this artists vocals.

Cynthia,
Do you have any of your music with your voice on it? I would like to understand what you mean by off key as I have this Cd as well and I do not hear the off key issue.
