Details Details is the first release by Nashville-based electropop artist Seth Williams. The stripped back, lo-fi sounds give it a video game feel at times and there are clear comparisons to be drawn with the likes of Owl City. The laid-back, spacey vibe means that at times the record seems to lack substance as listening material on its own. Conversely though, this makes it perfect as ambient music: it was certainly the perfect soundtrack to my day as I wrote this. Each song is based around its own particular story. Subjects range from miscommunications to house parties, and this originality adds to its quirky charm. Of the six tracks, "Zoned Out" and "Providential" are probably the strongest. At track three, Williams departs from his electro roots with the guitar-driven indie rock number "Dissemble", which works surprisingly well. Overall, an interesting and original record by an artist who clearly has potential.
