Eban is a veteran who's made a living in soul music singing and touring with groups like The Manhattans, The Delfonics and most recently The Stylistics. Admittedly Mr Brown wasn't with those groups during their million selling heydays but, like the Drifters before them, such groups found that even with a new lineup there remains a nostalgic audience for their old school sweet soul. But Eban is not only an excellent singer, he's also a gifted jazz guitarist and a believer to boot. Recently Eban released this charity single in aid of the Great Ormond Street Hospital. A mid-tempo song with a slinky melodic lilt, it should be investigated both by those wanting to support a fine institution and those who still enjoy sweet soul music.
