Eric Wyse is the Director of Music and organist at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He also co-wrote with his wife "Wonderful Merciful Savior" (included here). On this three CD set, Eric presents popular hymns and "'inspirational tracks" expertly played on various grand pianos. Songs such as "Jesus Lover Of My Soul", "Praise To The Lord, The Almighty" and "Day By Day" are all played by Wyse with various tracks featuring mandolin, guitar, penny whistle and accordion. This disc would be ideal for background music at Bible studies and gatherings, or maybe just to create a calming atmosphere at home after a hard day. My only complaint is that three discs are a little excessive, especially as they average around just 30 minutes a disc. If they edited 10 minutes of music from the collection, it would fit on one disc! Still, this is a beautiful selection.
