Early pioneers of classic CCM start making great waves with
this album into the CCM genre. The year 1978 was a
highlighting mark in CCM music for several artists like
DeGarmo and Key, Amy Grant.
"Earthmaker" begins the songset, reminds us of God the
Creator of everything! Very pop CCM sounds are heard in
"Good Shepherd", "Lifesaver" and "Highwire"
from side 1. Jayne's vocals on "I'd Be A Fool" are
perfect pitch for country vocals, love the country-
flavored song which was written by Jayne.
The closing number "Homesick Soldier" grabs the
listener's ears; I'm sure every true believer can relate
to the words. GOD Bless! - Don
