Trying desperately to steer clear of references to Mindy and failing in the first sentence, I have found this recording to be an absolute delight which might just as well have come from another planet for all it's freshness and vitality. If I had composed these concertos (they'd have been naff...) this is the way I would have liked to have heard them performed. Mork infuses them with a depth of feeling that is often lacking in renaissance recordings and one is left with the impression that this guy must be as much of an extrovert as Robin Williams. An excellent recording that leaves the mouth empty and the pen dry - what can be said other than 'Nanu, Nanu!' and 'Go out and buy it'?
