Good News is a praise and worship outfit based in Winnipeg, Canada who culd do with a more original name. This CD, checking in at nearly 39 minutes for 10 songs, is entirely their own work - and very acceptable it is too. Of the six members of the band, only the harmonica-playing percussionist Philip Tarnopolski doesn't have a composing credit (nor a vocal credit come to that - no drummer jokes please!), the bulk of the singing and songwriting is down to the 19 years married Larry and Sharlene Yarish. Whilst there's nothing here to radically push back the boundaries of Christian music (there goes Captain Kirk, boldly splitting infinitives), it's a good listen, with sound Biblical truth and total focus on the Saviour.
