With a "new artist" price of £10.99 here's an album more adventurous gospel choir enthusiasts should seriously consider investigating. There is an intriguing musical tradition, developed first in Scandinavia which clearly has now reached Holland - young white vocalists performing an authentic sounding version of black gospel choir music. Choir director Andre Bijleveld has selected 20 vocalists to form this hot new choir and not only do they perform credible versions of songs like "This Is The Day" and "Great Is The Lord", their cover of Mary Mary's huge hit "Shackles" takes on a whole new dimension when given the gospel choir treatment. If this choir could play somewhere like Spring Harvest they'd be huge in the UK.
