A fresh approach to 'hiding the Word of God in your heart'...you will find yourself drawing closer to God as he strengthens and encourages you with his Word..." Well, okay, but without taking anything away from the customary magnificent production and faultless performances of these 10 easy listening worship songs, surely it would be possible to assemble such a collection by myself, especially since all of the songs included have been previously released. I'm afraid that releases such as this always leave me with the impression of pound (or dollar) signs in the eyes of those who have commissioned them. That said, it's refreshing to hear pure Scripture put to such excellent music especially in the light of the plethora of "give me this. Lord" and "Lord, I want to feel that" songs currently doing the rounds. It is always frustrating though to not have any credits on these albums. I'm pretty sure that I hear the African Children's Choir on "Lord Be Magnified", which brings back great memories of their smiling faces and gentle ministry at last year's Spring Harvest, but elsewhere it's anyone's guess. Still, perhaps it's better that way to allow you to concentrate on the words and music.
