Recorded at Sheppey Evangelical Church in October 1998, this nine-song CD is praise and worship music with acoustic guitar and occasional synth backing. James wrote all the songs, the lyrics are Scripturally based on the whole (four of them are chunks of the NIV set to music), but the tunes use predictable chord patterns and melodies, so the overall effect is dull and dated. Oldies like me will have a definite feeling of deja-vu, because this sort of stuff was churned out ad nauseam by all sorts of groups, good, bad and indifferent, throughout the '70s. James has a good guitar technique, but his voice isn't terribly strong, and this set is unlikely to be heard much beyond the confines of Sheppey.
