Jeannie is the worship leading wife of pastor and best selling author Tommy Tenney. Anybody who has read The God Chasers will know that the Tenneys are not unfamiliar with the awesome power of God. This CD here was recorded live over three days at Australia’s Catch The Fire Adelaide held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Despite a warning on the sleeve that “this recording is raw and passionate, not practiced and polished,” the vocals and accompaniments are okay. Both the Vineyard Music oldie “Faintly” and the Jeannie Tenney composition “Seeking Your Face” with its memorable opening lines “I’m seeking your face not just your hand/To know you intimately is all I ask” stand out. There are only seven songs here but the enhanced CD offers two bonus songs and a video clip of Jeannie singing “Oh Happy Day”. If the Tenneys have blessed you, this heartfelt worship project may well touch you too.
