If I didn't know it before, I know it now: our mate TC has a weird sense of humour. Having spent all of my Cross Rhythms time reviewing music albums, I get two videos; and kids' videos at that. And not just any old kids' videos, I get the ones with the Anthea Turner clone and the guy in the turtle suite and the fresh-faced Post Kids, which should've added up to cringe with a capital C. But hold on a mo', despite the track record of American kids' material being pretty abysmal, these aren't as bad as all that. 'It's The Little Things' is the better of the two: the format is that each video deals with three topics in its 30 minutes, and 'Little Things' deals with disabilities, kindness and teasing. Only the third one doesn't click' the other two relate to a girl with a brittle bone disease being also an excellent paralympic athlete in spite of her being "physically challenged" (to use Jodi's politically correct phrase) and the kindness shown by a hostel worker who washed a vagrant's filthy feet whilst all the other residents were arguing about it. These stories were both movingly and thoughtfully done, but then unfortunately the mood gets broken by some rather dodgy singing and dancing.
