After the success of 2007 debut album 'The Blessing' and the best selling "While I'm Waiting" (used in the movie Fireproof), Colorado-based Waller has conjured up another winner with this album of declaratory songs, 11 tracks of mainly anthemic stadium praise. There's a powerful biblical influence in all these songs, the title track based on Joshua's words as the people of Israel entered the Promised Land and many of the others taking Bible passages as their inspiration, for example "Marriage Prayer" and "Bless Us And Keep Us". "Our God Reigns" kicks off the set with a powerful declaration of the rule of God and an attack on the idols of our age. With pounding bass and thundering guitars, these songs are both thought-provoking and spirit-lifting. There's no doubting the singer's faith and passion, and it's difficult to listen to this album without being swept up in the attitudes of praise, protest and personal profession of faith that are at the heart of every song. Listen and be encouraged!

Product Description

John Waller’s music has been heard by millions, touching lives all over the world. As For Me And My House picks right up where While I’m Waiting left off and continues to boldly proclaim the Word of God in song, with a Joshua 24:15 declaration to this generation.

The title track and companion music video confront the ‘spirit of this age’ (Acts 17:22-23) and the idols of money and power, sexual immorality, powerless religion, pornography, drugs and alcohol, while providing God’s solution: “as for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord”.

With declaration-style anthems like Our God Reigns Here (Luke 10:19), Yes (2 Corinthians 1:20) and Bless Us And Keep Us (Numbers 6:24-26), John inspires the listener to fight the good fight of faith with biblical lyrics to claim as their own during trying and uncertain times.

“Hiding God’s Word in my heart has impacted every area of my life since I began memorising scripture in my early College days,” says John. “What has been stored away in my heart just comes out of me when I write. When people memorise scripture and sing the truth of God’s Word, it changes their lives forever.”

May the songs of As For Me And My House encourage your heart. The truth shall set you free!
