This Texan multi-instrumentalist treats us to a batch of his insightful songs. This EP is just over 25 minutes long and that includes a remix of "Cold Sunshine" from his last CD. Having already been compared to sounding like a cross between Bruce Hornsby, Bono and The Counting Crows that description still rings true. There is also intelligence in his lyric writing, whether he is singing about seeing his friend's marriage fall apart ("Make It Through") or trying to give hope to a family after the death of their teenage daughter ("Faded Lights"). I'm looking forward to the next release already, hopefully with a few more songs.
