Kim Boyce became Miss Florida whilst studying broadcasting at university and after graduating turned down a news job in order to pursue music in Nashville. Teaming with experienced pop producer Brian Tankersley, this is her debut album from 1986 and features a set of perky pop tunes. Though there are luscious ballads with THAT '80s keyboard sound like "How Will They Remember" and "Here", most of the material on Kim's debut is upbeat and positive. This is pretty typical '80s pop which bounces along propelled by the fervour of a new artist. "That's How You Touched My Heart", "Sing And Dance" and "You Are The One" are all excellent examples of catchy pop and there's even an early song writing credit for Rick Altizer on "Love Knows". The opening cut, a version of Alison Moyet's "Love Resurrection", is an interesting choice and works really well, because the slightly rude lyric has been cleaned up! This is a winner and while it didn't launch Kim Boyce to Christian music superstardom, it certainly opened up doors for her to minister.
