Lamar's third album, 'When I Think About You' is a mix of urban gospel that has much to commend it, an album that carries a spirit of worship and praise. After the successes of his first two albums, Lamar, along with his choir Spirit Of Praise, build on what has gone before. Listen out especially for tracks "When I Think About You", "Can't Nobody Tell It", "Closer", and "Use Me." This is an album packed with energy and powerful performances. Choir soloist Denise Clark surpasses normal vocal ability on the worshipful 'Closer' track. This album will have mass appeal right across the urban gospel/rap/hip hop fields. Lots of pros and not many, if any, cons. Give it a listen.
