At the time of recording of this album in 2003, Debbie Dee was just 11 years old. She began singing when she was nine, and in 2005 she, rather inexplicably, scooped Britain's CBC Media Awards Christian Artist Of The Year for this somewhat embarrassing album. According to another part of Debbie's bio, she sings with a contemporary style, but when I started to play the CD, I discovered that the phrase "contemporary style" apparently doesn't mean "contemporary material". This is more or less the sort of stuff I was singing in Sunday School 50 years ago - "Jesus Bids Us Shine", "If You're Happy And You Know It", "All Things Bright And Beautiful", "Jesus Loves The Little Children" - and whilst someone with true soul diva quality might get away with it, Debbie's voice is nowhere near strong enough, or accurate enough, and the result is just embarrassing.
