This is a four-track demo of original contemporary songs from a band who use their music in leading worship and in an evangelistic way. Most of Martin's songs are based on his personal experiences of life - both good and bad times - and speak of the relevance of Christian faith to the whole of life. For me the standout track is "Life Is Precious" which has a catchy hook chorus that stays with you. This song talks about the questions of life: "I just can't see where I'm going now/I'm looking round and finding it hard...". Yet beyond the questions and the struggle is a faith that keeps going, even without answers to all our questions, because of a conviction that life is precious, and that our lives are precious to God. Of the other tracks, "Enough For Me" rocks along in a very pleasant way and reminded me of Al Stewart (that dates me!). The other two tracks are much more mellow, the final track, "The Way Things Used To Be", is folk/acoustic and a bit too predictable musically. On the whole, a nice enough collection but not one that reached out and grabbed my lugholes. To "90s ears it's very listenable middle of the road folk/rock.
