I flinched at the appearance of this tape, the robed figures on the cover giving the imperssion of one of those plastic, toothy ensembles that sing patriotic songs at American baseball games. The oddity was then confirmed by the first track kicking off with women's voices; they are welcome, but in a men's chorus? Anyway, they stick around so we'd better get used to it - strange though. The least successful songs are those which display the worst traits of MOR stuffiness, and some of the soloists are too syrupy by far for me and, I suspect, you. The tracks such as "Sweet Sweet Spirit", almost acapella and a tight choral sound, work much better, and songs like "That's The Way To Find Happiness" just cause giggles. Some good stuff here, but you have to search for it.
