This is the second volume in the 'Song Learner' series for worship guitar by worship resource organisation Musicademy. Presented by Musicademy's Andy Chamberlain the DVD goes through six well known songs for worship, such as Tim Hughes' "Here I Am To Worship" and Matt Redman's "The Father's Song" and breaks the guitar parts down into simple chord changes and strumming patterns. The DVD is aimed at beginner to intermediate guitar players though I would suggest an intermediate player would find this too basic and almost patronising! Andy talks and plays each and every basic chord and strum, showing cheats and giving tips on how to use the capo effectively or how to play chords with a change in the bass notes (a staple in many worship songs) and for the beginner this process is helpful and clear to understand, if a bit fast at times. All in all, an effective way to learn and improve as a musician and in how to play the songs sung in our churches.
