A veteran of America's gospel scene with a dozen or more albums to her name, Myrna sports a voice sounding at times just like Roberta Flack. She belts out the type of songs that will really lift you on a cold and grey day. Her style of singing does not intrude upon the senses unlike some of the female artists already established in this mould. Instead, we have a gathering of songs delivered here without any severe fuss or hype - just plain old fashioned, good gospel singing in the traditional sense of the word. Of the eight tracks presented here, I really appreciate "He Chose Me" and the up beat "Everybody Ought To Praise The Lord" and the title track "Deliverance" will also stop and make you think. This project was recorded live although don't be put off as all this adds to a very positive sound and will certainly not detract from something that has been well produced. Enjoy.

Until the stellar awards, I was thankful to know Myrna Summers is still around doing God's work. Uncloudy Day - I searched for years just to hear this song. I am becoming computer literate now and my sister played this song for my last night 12:00 p.m. It was a blessing hearing all of her songs from the 70's. I will forever love Myrna Summers. Even to-date there is not one gospel artist that complement gospel accept Myrna Summers. She is the best and will always be #1. I love her style and gospel that flows through her soul. Gospel today, the only thing left to do is dance or jam. Myrna I love you. Thank you Jesus for your songs of old.
