There is no escaping the buzz Stateside concerning Dayton, Ohio's New Harvest who were the winners of the Exalting Him 2005 National Talent search. There is no doubting the lads' passion and commitment to the cause of Christ in this soulful and inspirational self-titled album. The production is faultless, the label pulling in some big names such as Bubba Smith, Paul Porter and Kyle Byroe all with a pedigree that shows on the group's first major release. There is a sincerity and intimacy in their praise which far more established artists often have difficulty in conveying, yet the lasting vibe from this recording is one of joy and fun, from the big brass intro of the uplifting opening track "I Can't Stop Praising Him" to the simple yet uplifting "Thankful". This is an album that you can tell they had a blast putting together.
