Ever since gospel superstar John P Kee propelled New Life into the limelight they have retained their reputation of being one of the best ensembles in gospel. On several tracks on this 2005 album John takes the lead vocal mic and shows that his gritty emoting has lost none of its soul power. Gutsy call-and-response music while "High Praise" featuring Tye Tribbett is just that. Recorded live at the New Life Fellowship Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, this two CD set can be rather exhausting listening and occasionally some of the intros verge on OTT backslapping. But no one can deny that New Life bring passion in abundance to their worship of the living God.
