Whilst the funky praiser "Wash My Sins" and the swing-styled "This Time" and "Jesus Loves Me" moderately pleases lyrically and vocally, there are times when the vocals are sadly way off. Although the backing vocals are always a joy, the lead vocals are sometimes uncontrolled, or over-enthusiastic, with them cramming in too much of the good word uncomfortably within a few bars. In the end, instead of listening to the words, one's ears are irritated by the unmusical delivery as shown on songs like "Take My Hand" and "Do You Care", uplifting words or not. The standout cut of this album by these five sisters from Texas are the funky cuts such as "Trumpet", which have a solid, danceable groove. Also, the fact that they have a tendency to use lines from well-known Biblical passages and gospel songs, may either be favourable for its familiarity factor, or a turn off if deemed unimaginative lyric writing.
