One and a half years old but only now finding its way onto the Cross Reviews conveyer belt. Maidstone-based Nick is a musicianary, going fulltime in September doing church, prison and schools work and has recently been asked to tour Romanian universities. His four-song tape, recorded at home on a 4-track, obviously lacks production gloss while his songs straight down the line biblical exhortations (a vocal hook "Jesus is coming back" for instance) aren't particularly imaginative. The music too is somewhat deja vu fitting into the guitars-and-drum-box formulae of countless demos. Let's wait for his soon-to-be-released live album to see whether competence can spark into originality for Nick.
