Proxy is the musical outreach of Table View Worship Ministry based in South Africa. This is their fourth album and also comes with a bonus DVD. This is an energetic rocking worship CD, similar to Hillsong United in its sound and style. The 13 studio tracks feature many different singers and songwriters from the collective and it's an impressive set. The first three tracks really pump from the speakers, shouting declarations of God's power and grace both lyrically and musically. "Worthy" calms things down a little, a worshipful song that revolves around God's worthiness though even here it builds with tribal drumming to a refrain led by guitar. There is some excellent musicianship on display here, and considering that there are so many different writers and performers, the album is surprisingly coherent. The DVD features live performances of 10 of the songs, along with bonus features including a photo gallery and a short movie about Light Bags, a food ministry supported by Table View. The live performances are excellent; when Proxy minister live they are a big band who worship loudly! Even in such a crowded worship marketplace this package stands out.
