For newly married Robert and Kelly, clearly songwriting and performing are high on their shared interests, as six of the 10 tracks on this album have been jointly written by them. So I guess we should expect lyrics like "You walk hand in hand with me together, we'll always be" even though the subject is walking with God. Much the lyrics are romantic tender phrases, such as "I want to be close to you, lost in your embrace", "I love the way you love me" and "You are beautiful". Hailing from the famous Toronto Airport Christian fellowship, both have their independent ministries, but share the lead vocals on various tracks across this album. As is the norm with the US inspirational style, the songs comprise descriptions of how wonderful God is rather than direct worship suitable for congregations. The outstanding worship track is Jared Anderson's familiar "Amazed" with the familiar refrain "Lord I'm amazed by you, how you love me" which is the track they got married to and duet on. The song formats follow a traditional gentle love song pattern which although lovely is like walking in on a couple kissing, so slightly cringe-worthy. If you are blessed by synth-lead inspirational worship you might want to investigate this.
