It's not just purveyors of MOR who resort to marketing formulae. The brothers Elephante (the producer chaps who run Pakaderm) have found a niche by doing heavy rock-cum-metal renditions of all manner of Christian songs (worship choruses, carols and, here, black gospel material) presumably for rockers who wouldn't buy the songs in their original musical style. So if you want hard rocking versions of "Oh Happy Day", "Soon And Very Soon" (wonder if Andrae Crouch knows he's being referred to as 'traditional') and "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child" this album is for you.
