Rosemari is an oriental pop gospeller who's been gigging around the NYC metropolitan area. She has an excellent pop voice and producer Paul S Kim provides her with a highly competent set of tracks, from jangly guitar pop to piano led inspirational ballads. What pulls the album into ordinariness are the lyrics. They seldom rhyme and rarely go beyond "Can't stop this feeling that's inside" and "Your love it fills my heart with all I need" sentiments which, stretched over a whole album, sound extraordinarily shallow. So ironically the best song by far on this rather short album (eight songs plus a remix) is the evergreen hymn "Be Thou My Vision". With the right material Rosemari could make Nashville sit up and take notice. Unfortunately, this isn't it.
