This fresh new hip-hop record is great! Full of Mexican flavored horns, guitar and rhythm. The group is actually Jaz and DG, two artists who have had solo releases and play on Cross Rhythms radio. The amalgamation is a success. While it is largely tailored to a Latin audience, Royal Temple mix vocals between English and Spanish. The album starts with the smoking track "Como David" which celebrates dancing like King David. "World Wide" is a groove-filled song that uses its music to bridge the language barrier with often used methods like the lyric "Y esto no termina/We won't quit, we won't stop/Y mira todavia/We gon' take it to the top." This crew has some clear and obvious skills, evident on the free-style rap of Jaz on "Ya'll Ain't Ready, Intro". Like Souljahz who like to create musical hybrids, this is a cleverly diverse album. Royal Temple give everything they have to offer the Spanish market an album with a positive and uplifting message, full of irresistible beats, rhythms and rhymes. Occasionally the group slip into slower, all out R&B tracks full of soul. With all of the stylistic changes, the album feels a bit heavy and hectic. It's hard to listen from start to finish without being a bit overloaded. Nevertheless, this is a fine Latin hip-hop release, with enough lyrics in English for this monoglot to enjoy.
