A DVD of 11 hymns sung by an accomplished children's choir is what is on offer here with a running time of 35 minutes. Lively, colourful and energetic on-screen graphics that will doubtless appeal to younger viewers accompany each track (these include the lyrics) although these may have been overdone and can become somewhat overwhelming at times and detract attention from the hymn being sung. The music backing is lively also with modern guitar and synth sounds included, but a few more musical highlights and innovative moments here would have been welcome. As to the track selection, these are traditional hymns with the traditional lyrics used, and their relevance and appeal in this form to the majority of young worshippers (including those singing on this recording) must surely be in doubt.
