This High Wycombe-based five piece band and recent Crash Records signing, Simple Reason unleash their debut EP to anticipating fans. A deathly scream shakes you to the core as the hard rock intro progresses into a clever offbeat. However the lyrics are not easy to hear as much of the song is screamed and the vocals have the same monotonous whine, which continues through every track. The band can take credit for being well accomplished and extremely tight on the EP. "Let's Fly" is frantic and bursts with energy and the words encourage us that our present sufferings are worth the prize in store. Darth Vader-toned speech precedes the start of "I Have You" which mellows in pace to a less hard rock. Bass and cymbals feature prominently but the onslaught of more screams invades again. The EP continues in this same vein and it becomes difficult to tell the tracks apart.

One of my favourite British releases of the year. It got a lot of airplay on the Rock and Hard Place and deservedly so.

Wow. This band keep going from strength to strength. There just isn't another Christian rock band like them. Their stage act is amazing and it's only a matter of time before they take the secular music world by storm. I've heard the CD and it's really strong and there's a free video download.
