An album released under the Reading-based Freedom In Christ ministry with all proceeds going to Wycliffe and Freedom In Christ. The composer behind this project Tom Schwarz is a songwriter and musician and for the last two decades he has worked for Wycliffe, even spending nine years in Ghana as a missionary, helping to translate Scripture into the local languages. This project is inspired by the Freedom In Christ ministry based on principles taught by Dr Neil T Anderson in his books and at conferences and churches in the UK. Having a love of the Word of God and a belief in its power to set Christians free, Schwartz has created songs that celebrate the truth of the Bible and these 18 songs are designed to help believers to renew their minds. There is no doubting his songwriting talents and with a variety of musical styles - ballads, blues, rock and a variety of vocalists, there is plenty here to hold the interest. Despite the forays into some louder music, the overall style of this is MOR and it is strongly reminiscent of the sort of music released by people like Adrian Snell, John Pantry and Meet Jesus Music in the '70s. So it is a little dated but if you want to fill your mind full of God's truth, it's an essential listen.
