Once this Arkansas-based quintet were known for a full on rapcore but seemingly they've now dropped the shouted raps and embraced more of an emo flavoured hard rock sound, a little like the current direction of Anberlin. This 2005 release brilliantly produced by Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar) has one stone gem, the moody "Time After Time" (surprisingly hidden at track 11 on the album) and though Matt Baird's vocals may be an acquired taste they do show the ability to communicate both on a power ballad ("From The Inside") to ear-splitting hardcore ("Bitter Taste"). Shame it's taken CR so long to get round to reviewing this as 'Last Chance To Breathe' is well above average.
