Formed in 2002 as a music school project, this Memphis band have had an on and off existence since then, splitting and then reforming. The line up from their debut EP has changed and the band are now fronted by Rich Riegel whose strong songwriting and distinctive voice are at the heart of the band. This five-track EP features a band making compelling modern rock and ranging from the rockingest of openers "Satellite" through to the pop melodies of "Don't Roll Your Eyes At Me" and the twin guitar attack of closer "Beautiful Goodbye". There's enough variation to keep things interesting and The American Radio sound like a band who could break much bigger now they're taking serious strides forwards.
