Over the last year or so, thanks to the generosity and thoughtfulness of Admiral Cummings, I've become very familiar with the simple and straightforward style and harmonies of The Chuck Wagon Gang, and this is another product that does exactly what it says on the tin, or in this case, on the CD sleeve. Nicely sung old time gospel material on this 10 track album, including such familiar stuff as "Bringing In The Sheaves", "Softly And Tenderly", "Standing On The Promises" and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder", and whilst the running time is criminally short at a tad over 24 minutes, this is another drop of good stuff for all fans of where rural country gospel intersects with the Southern gospel genre.
